Needham, MA-Despite a continuing housing slump nationwide, local loan officer Amy Slotnick has achieved recognition by closing over $68 million in loans in 2011, according to Mortgage Executive Magazine.

The magazine annually compiles a list of the top 1% of mortgage originators nationwide with only 200 achieving the $60 million minimum in 2011.  Slotnick works for Fairway Independent Mortgage in Needham, MA where she has been the top producing loan officer for the last four years.  Slotnick has been in the mortgage industry since 1983 and has experience in every facet of the mortgage business including operations, sales, management and ownership. She is proud to be among the few loan officers to have obtained the Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist (CMPS) designation.   Slotnick was one of five  loan officers from Fairway Independent Mortgage to receive recognition, others include, Sheira Mackenzie, Craig Tashjian, Justin S. Tulman, and New England Regional Vice President, Amy Tierce.

Slotnick is a graduate of Simmons College with degrees in Economics and Political Science.
