Lasell College Students Present Fasion Show: Britain Can Make It

Visual Merchandising students from Lasell College recently presented a fashion show in conjunction with “Britain Can Make It,” an exhibit featuring post World War II automobile memorabilia currently on display at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline.  The exhibit replicates the historical “Britain Can Make It” exhibition of industrial and product design, which was first held in London in 1946 and featured a unique combination of automobiles and fashion.  The fashion show featured twenty-five garments designed by Lasell College students and constructed from non-textile materials, such as window screening, paper products, plastic products and beads, to highlight the relationship between fashion and cars and to mirror the original 1946 exhibition.  Attached are three photos from the fashion show.
