The exhibitions Upsodown and In Praise of Folly at the New Art Center welcomed hundreds of visitors during their opening week. A private exhibition preview on January 10th gave 50 friends of the New Art Center a sneak peak of Upsodown curated by AJ Liberto and Kate True featuring the work of Seth Alverson, Nick Cave, Robert Colescott, Marcus Kenney, Eli Kessler, AJ Liberto, Clifford Owens, Joyce Pensato, Tara Sellios & Summer Wheat. It celebrates the transformative power of the carnival. 150 visitors came on Friday night to the public opening of both Upsodown & In Praise of Folly that features the assemblage work of faculty member Carol Blackwell and student Gail Hansen.
