Boston, MA (March 05, 2012) – Newton was named one of the “Best Places to Live” by Bostonmagazine in the March 2012 issue.  It was named in the article’s “Swanky Town Smackdown” section that pitted some of the most popular towns in the Boston area up against each other. 

The magazine declared Newton the winner of the “famous residents” section for being the “hometown of Friends actor Matt LeBlanc (and half of The Office cast).” Newton won “for inspiring some of our favorite comedians.”

According to the magazine, the median home price in Newton is $750,000.
