“Party in the Park” for Emerald Necklace Conservancy
The legacy and preservation of Frederick Law Olmsted’s Emerald Necklace was celebrated under huge tents in Boston’s Back Bay Fens at the ninth annual “Party in the Park” on May 16th. Hosted by the Emerald Necklace Conservancy (ENC) and gathering over 700 of Greater Boston’s most charitable ladies, the luncheon raised more than $560,000 for the Conservancy’s Justine Mee Liff Fund. Named in honor of Boston’s Commissioner of Parks and Recreation from 1996 to 2002, the fund has expended $665,000 in the past nine years on ENC projects, and is currently underwriting the restoration of the fountain and statuary in the Kelleher Rose Garden.
