Patch and Starbucks; they go together like coffee and cream.
The Seattle-based coffee chain announced this week its launch of the "Starbucks Digital Network," a hand-picked selection of premium entertainment, lifestyle and news content available through the Wi-Fi networks offered in the coffee shops. Every caffeinated customer will have access to free music, books and national news.
And while you'll see stories from the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, you'll also be able to find local news--that's where Patch comes in.
Whether you're cozying up to a cup of coffee at a Starbucks in Waban, or cooling off with a passion fruit iced tea in Newton Centre, the Starbucks Digital Network will keep you posted with headlines from Newton Patch's latest news stories, opinions, columns and sports scores.
Every Starbucks will pull news from its local Patch. So, if you're meeting a friend in Coolidge Corner, you'll find great up-to-date stories for Brookline. Stopping for a cup of joe in West Roxbury or Needham? Patch will be there, too.
Here at Patch we strive deliver news that matters to you. The easier it is to find that news, the more connected you are with your community. We're excited to team up with the Starbucks Digital Network and to be a part of your morning, afternoon and evening caffeine fix.
