Armed Robbery Reported at Chestnut Hill MBTA Station

The reporting party said the suspect was a black male wearing red and black baggy clothes.

Newton and Brookline Police are scanning Chestnut Hill this afternoon for a suspect who allegedly robbed someone at the Chestnut Hill MBTA station.

According to scanner reports, a male waiting at the T station was approached by a 5'9" black male wearing a red and black baggy sweatshirt, baggy jeans, a black baseball hat and black ski mask. The suspect allegedly said he had a gun, although the reporting party said he did not see a weapon, reports said.

The scanner said $55 was stolen from the reporting party and that the suspect said he was going to "pop them."

Reports said the suspect fled toward the Longwood Cricket Club on Hammond Street in Brookline. State Police have been notified of the incident.
