Babe Ruth 14-year olds Head to New England Championships

The Newton baseball team sailed through three wins last weekend to get to the finals.

The Newton Babe Ruth 14-year olds are just one win away from the New England Championship title -- but it took a lot of hard work to get there.

The team fought their way through three wins this weekend in Westfield at the New England Regional Tournament. They eventually took down the Western Massachusetts Champions from Pittsfield 10-1 in the semi-final round.

The final game, which will determine the New England Champions, will be played at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. The winner of that game will head to the Babe Ruth World Series.
