Remember in terms of reporting that hearing things on Twitter, from sources unrelated to the Fire Department, and being at the scene are two completely different things. Maybe next time Ryan you could interview the Officer in Charge (OIC) or maybe the PIO (Public Information Officer)?

Hi Jenny,
I was at the scene and saw the officers investigating. However, often times officers don't want to speak from the scene because they have a PIO at the station to handle the media. The officers at the scene are busy doing their jobs and have to focus on that instead of the media.

Hi Jenny -- Thanks for your comment. Due to the late hour, there was not a lot of information available from authorities. Ryan was good to jump up and cover what he could of the accident.

This morning, as we typically do with accidents like this, we placed a call into the PIO at Newton Police. When we receive more information from them, we plan to post an update.
