The Boston College football season kicks off this Saturday, ushering in a new year and a fresh start for the Eagles and their devoted fan base.
It also marks the start of game day parking restrictions in the Chestnut Hill neighborhoods around BC and Alumni Stadium.
Parking on the neighborhood streets around the school during game days is prohibited and cars will be towed at the owner's expense. Signs are posted in most restricted parking areas.
Patrons attending the football game are encouraged to take public transportation, as on-campus parking passes are not available for single-game ticket holders. Only those individuals who make a donation to the Boston College Flynn Fund and have season tickets can be considered for on-campus parking.
There is some parking available at satellite lots in Brighton (New Balance Parking Garage on Guest Street) and on Second Street in Needham. Shuttle bus service is available to and from the stadium.
A satellite lot on the BC Law Campus in Newton Centre is available for season ticket holders only.
All vehicles, including those with university-issued permits, must be removed from the Chestnut Hill campus by 11 p.m. the night before a home football game. Students with resident permitted vehicles (SRF permits only) may park at the Newton Centre campus for home games.
For more information on parking and public transportation, visit the BC Eagles website.
