Deborah Curtis, 92, Newton Native

Curtis was born and raised in the Garden City.

 

Deborah Curtis, 92, a Newton native, died on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012. 

Curtis was born and raised in Newton, where she lived with her aunt and uncle as well as many cousins, her obituary said. She stayed in Newton until the 1940s when she moved to Boston with her sister. 

Curtis raised two sons, George Curtis of Quincy, MA and Robert Curtis of Lynn, MA. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Curtis' name to The Foundation of the MEEI (Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary), 243 Charles St., Boston, MA 02114.
