A CIP discussion with aldermen, a new Theatre Ink production and free coffee.
1. CIP discussion. The Newton Board of Aldermen will hold a Capital Improvement Plan and financial forecast discussion with various city staff members tonight at 7 p.m. in the chamber at Newton City Hall. The discussion will include information on completed projects as well as possible fiscal 2013 projects.
2. Big Love. Theatre Ink's latest production, Big Love, is set to premiere tonight at Newton North High School at 7:30 p.m. Directed by Katherine Norris and Caleb Bromberg, the play was inspired by the Greek classic "The Danaides" by Aeschylus. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased online.
3. Free Coffee! Boston-area Panera Bread bakery cafes will be offering free coffee today between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. as part of the chain's "Warm-up Wednesday" campaign. In addition to the bakeries, Panera will also be giving out free coffee at a "surprise" location: Government Center.
4. Go Tigers! The Newton North boys' varsity ice hockey team will face Wellesley in a home match tonight at 7 p.m. The game will take place at the Fessenden School's Coffin Rink.
