1. Thank you reception. The Newton Free Library will hold a special reception today for the Korean Cultural Volunteer Outreach (KCVO) program, which recently donated 500 Korean books to the library. General Consul Kangho Park along with several of his consuls, the Korean Society of New England president, members of the Korean community and library staff will attend the free event, which starts at 9:30 a.m.
2. Go Tigers! The Newton North boys' varsity basketball team will face Acton-Boxborough in a home scrimmage today at 11 a.m.
