School Committee meets, Finance Committee discusses F.A. Day funding and the first pre-season day for Gath Pool and Crystal Lake.
2. School Committee. The Newton School Committee will hold its last regular meeting of the school year tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Education Center. The committee will receive updates on the new buffer zones, discuss/vote on a superintendent evaluation as well as vote on a new CORI policy for the district. 3. Group Bike Ride. Bike Newton hosts a group bike ride Monday evenings at 6 p.m. starting from the Newton Free Library and visiting a number of scenic points around the city. The ride, which will be between 7-10 miles, is open to cyclists of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone with questions can email email@example.com.
4. Finance Committee. The Board of Aldermen's Finance Committee will meet tonight at 6:45 p.m. in room 222 at City Hall. The committee will first meet on two small items and then meet jointly with the Public Facilities Committee at 7 p.m. to discuss the $6.75 million funding request for F.A. Day Middle School renovations.
