1. A sign that spring is finally here! If the recent warm temperatures haven't convinced you, Wally's Wicked Good Ice Cream in Auburndale will re-open today at 12:30 p.m.! During the month of March, Wally's will be open Thursday-Sunday, and the hours will be Thursday 3 p.m. - 9 p.m., Friday 3 p.m. - 10 p.m., Saturday 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Sunday 2 p.m. - 9 p.m.

2. Legally Blonde The Musical. Newton North's Theatre Ink will hit the stage tonight for the first night of Legally Blonde The Musical. The show will start at 7:30 p.m. at Newton North. Tickets are already sold out, but if you would like to get on the wait list, arrive at the box office at least 30 minutes before show time. Tickets cannot be guaranteed for those on the wait list. 

3. Early release day. Today is an early release day in Newton for both elementary and secondary schools. Check out specifics on early release times here.

4. School Committee budget meeting. The Newton School Committee will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in the Education Center to continue discussion on the fiscal 2013 budget. The committee is slated to take a straw vote on the budget tonight. 

5. Get creative. Teens are invited to the Newton Free Library this afternoon starting at 3:30 p.m. to make ugly dolls. The class is free and no sewing skills are required. Snacks will also be served.
