Now that the city has approved the license and the property transfer is in motion, Shahrooz told Newton Patch he is already hard at work getting the new restaurant ready. A soft opening is currently planned for Monday, Sept. 10.

Although the new location will be bigger than his former spot in Sandwich Works, Shahrooz said he plans to keep the restaurant's name as Jake's Falafel Corner.
