Melody Rene Bohl, 56, of Newtonville, passed away on Oct. 25, 2012 after a three-month battle with cancer.
Bohl was the founder and owner of Carpe Diem, a Newton-based real estate company, according to her obituary. She also spent time in management positions doing marketing for various companies including BankBoston and Fidelity Investments.
Bohl was also the managing director for the Boston Chapter of Ladies Who Launch, her obituary said. She had many interests including travel and, more recently, learning how to fly a helicopter.
