Details on Renovations at Needham Street Starbucks, McDonald's

McDonald's hopes to reopen sometime in June, while Starbucks will be back in business next week.

Needham Street certainly is busy these days.

Between the hubbub over Jonathan's Bar & Grill opening soon and work at the now-closed spot, you may have missed a bit of renovation going on at .

The Needham Street location of the Seattle-based coffee chain is currently closed for renovations. According to a Starbucks spokesman, the location will reopen a week from today, April 26. 

Once the 10-day renovation is finished, the coffee shop will have new furniture inside and out as well as a Clover brewing system, the spokesman said via email.

In addition, the store will have a new layout and "flow," to help with the coffee shop's small size.  

, the on Needham Street is also undergoing a serious rebuild and renovation. According to Bob Broughton, director of operations at the Needham Street restaurant, the complete remodel will include a "state of the art" dining area, a new kitchen as well as new bathrooms and equipment. 

The Needham Street location, which has been in business for more than 30 years, will reopen no later than June 15, Broughton said in an emailed statement.

"We are excited to have this rebuild underway and are thrilled to offer our customers in Newton a fully modernized facility. We enjoy doing business in this community, love our customers, and look  forward to many more successful years," Broughton said in the email.
