The Newton North Innovation Lab opened its doors Thursday to teachers, school administrators, elected officials and Massachusetts Secretary of Education Paul Reville. The Feb. 16 event included a tour of several projects the students in the lab are currently working on, including biodiesel, creating fuel out of algae, self-feeding plant systems, robots and more. The Innovation Lab is partnered up with several local institutions and businesses, including Whole Foods, Legal Sea Foods, MIT and more.
