PHOTOS: Kicking Off Summer at the Newton Farmers' Market

The Newton Farmers' Market opened for the season on Tues., July 3 at Cold Spring Park. The markets run July - October on Tuesdays and Friday at Cold Spring Park and Post 440.

Hanson's Farm was a hit on Tuesday with their homemade lemonade. The Framingham-based farm had a variety of fresh herbs, greens and flowers for sale at the first Newton Farmers' Market of the season at Cold Spring Park.

The Newton Farmers' Markets run on Tuesdays and Fridays from July - October. The Tuesday markets are held at Cold Spring Park from 1:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. and the Friday markets are held from noon - 5 p.m. at American Legion Post 440 on California Street. 

Many familiar faces will be back again this year including Wally's Wicked Good Ice Cream, Kimball Fruit Farm, Old Friends Farm, the Newton Community Farm and Crystal Brook Farm. New vendors include Turtle Creek Wine, Nella Pasta and Laurelwood Farms

Really love to see hours pushed to 6:30 or 7 as I find it nearly possible to make it to the market after work
