PHOTOS: Movie Crews Film 'The Makeover' at Newton City Hall

A few city officials got to chat with some of the stars of the TV movie, including Julia Stiles.

On Tuesday, Oct. 9, Newton City Hall was used as a filming location for the Hallmark Hall of Fame TV movie "The Makeover" starring Julia Stiles. 

Roughly 150 cast and crew members spread out around the grounds, shooting scenes involving a political character running for office: Elliot Doolittle.

According to Boston.com, Doolittle is a blue-collar candidate from Southie running for Congress in the movie. Stiles plays a former congressional candidate who tries to coach Doolittle into a winning politician.

City officials and employees had a chance to meet some of the stars of the movie, including Stiles. 

Although the filming was only scheduled for Tuesday, crews will be back on scene tomorrow to finish cleaning up the set.
