PHOTOS: Volunteers Build Newtonville Ice Rink

Following the successful rink in Newton Highlands and the new rink in Newton Centre, volunteers got together last Saturday to build a rink at Albemarle Field in Newtonville. Stay tuned for updates on when it will open!

Volunteers gathered Saturday morning, Jan. 7, at Albemarle Field to build the Newtonville Community Ice Rink.
Alderman Marcia Johnson and local skating instructor Sheryl Franks stopped by to show support during the building of the Newtonville Community Ice Rink.
Volunteers gathered at Albemarle Field Saturday to help put together an ice rink in Newtonville. Once the weather cools off and the ice freezes, the rink will be open daily from 9 a.m. to dusk and Fri. & Sat. nights from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Volunteers of all ages showed up to help build the rink.
