Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

POLL: What is the Best Spot in Newton for Mother's Day Brunch?

Vote in the poll, defend your choice in the comments, and come back Friday at noon to find out the winner.

Each week, Newton Patch asks you, the readers, what the best businesses are here in the Garden City.

Last week, our readers chose the best florist in Newton. Before that, we crowned the city's best liquor store and the best place to buy sporting goods, to name a few.

This week the category is: best place in Newton for Mother's Day brunch.

Here's how it works: Vote in the poll below, add comments supporting your decision and influencing other Newton residents to see that you're right, after all. Then, submit a review of the business in the Newton Patch Directory to add to the total points.

The poll closes at 9 a.m. Friday. Because this poll isn't scientific, it isn't the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor (that's me, Melanie Graham), based on poll results and reviews in the Directory.

Comments are also factored in during close races and used as tiebreakers, so if you vote please leave a comment!

For a full set of rules, see the attached .pdf. Please remember one vote per person, per poll.

And now, the nominees, along with links to their Directory pages:

The winner gets bragging rights and a framed certificate from Patch. Let the voting and commenting begin!

I do love the Biltmore but we are heading into The Common Ground in Allston for Mother's Day Brunch. It is owned by Newton resident Bob O'Guin and he is passionate about great food. Lovely brunch menu and homemade bacon. Worth the ten minute drive.
