First, let's see what we do not need. We do not need another: Bank, Bakery, Sweet Shop, or Coffee spot. Candy Store, nope, got a great one. Same for consignment shop(s), variety (cinvienence store), cleaners, and pizza shops. There are evne some darn good restaurants there. And no, we do not need a good deli, Jewish Style or otherwise. Soon, this column will be asking us what should go into the Bank of America when they leave (please note that this is a good start, as when a national bank leaves, it means that a new local business can open).

So, what to put at 41 Lincoln. Well, I have suggested a Housewares/Kitchen store for other parts of Newton, so how about that for the Highlands. Wait, how about a Green Grocer. I know, Whole Foods is just down the street. And they do have excellent produce with the excellently high pricing Although in the case of Whole foods, we are paying for natural, organic and the like so, on the, you will pardon the pun, "whole", the prices are reasonable for what they are selling. BUT, not everyone wants organic, or natural produce. Most farms, even the large commercial giant farms are using much less of and safer products to control pests pests and the like. But let's face it, Whole Foods is no Russo's (Watertown).What if Russo's moved in on a smaller scale then their home operation. Or maybe there are some of the Blacker family left in the area. Or even the Blank family (they had a produce storer in Newton Corner years ago. Let's face it, we need more veggies
