Visions for Vacancies: 41 Lincoln St., Newton Highlands
Staccato moved from the space last year. What should go in its place?
Welcome to Visions for Vacancies, a Patch feature and a place where you can weigh in with your ideas about what kind of businesses you’d like to see occupying empty storefronts around Newton.
Each week, we’ll highlight a vacant building, storefront or structure around the city. Then, we’ll leave it you, the Newton community, to sound off on what you’d like to see there.
This week' we're at 41 Lincoln St. in Newton Highlands, the former location for Staccato.
The Lincoln Street shopping district features a variety of boutiques, hair salons and cafes. The area has metered on-street parking, some free parking on side streets as well as a metered municipal lot.
The area also gets a considerable amount of foot traffic with the Newton Highlands MBTA station nearby and the Hyde Community Center.
Staccato, a women's boutique that formerly occupied the space, moved out in spring 2011 and relocated to Linden Square in Wellesley.
