Newton resident Peter Hayashi has a condition called allodynia. Light touch and temperature change are excruciatingly painful for him. Medical marijuana has helped alleviate his pain and improve his quality of life. This initiative will be the safest medical marijuana law in the country, and we believe that patients in Massachusetts deserve the same secure access to medical marijuana as their neighbors in Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island and Connecticut. The Committee for Compassionate Medicine is a coalition of medical professionals, public health groups, patients, and caregivers that have joined together to support Question 3.
