The goal of Playdance (ages 2 - 4 years) is to foster a love of music and movement in your child. Using a large open dance space, a variety of music and song, along with several movement tools, the program is designed to be fun and to develop classroom readiness. Imaginary journeys, improvisation and theater games will encourage self-expression and creativity. The concept of Playdance was created to ensure that young children do not begin formal training too early, yet are encouraged to explore as many ways of moving as their imaginations will allow. Class includes rest-time where children will hear a story and have juice.

Joanne Langione Dance Center offers dance instruction that focuses on each and every student learning to dance in an atmosphere of love and support. This center’s mission is to create a “community based school educating our students to the many ways in which a proper dance education can inform their lives: creating life-long lovers of dance whether a student chooses to dance professionally or whether she dances for the simply joy of it”.

Students here have the potential to become leaders in the world of dance whether as performers, directors, choreographers and educators. Programs here support the core values of work, good training and fun. Instructors here challenge students to hone natural talents while encouraging them to always improve. The Joanne Langione Dance Center was founded in 1976. The Center’s students build on a classical foundation and train in modern and contemporary.
