Beer Brewing Class - Two Part Series

This two-session course will include hands-on instruction from seasoned home brewer, Sam Fogel. While making beer, the class will discuss the botanical components (yeast, hops, barley, and barley malt), the equipment, the biochemistry of the fermentation process, sanitation procedures, and the differences between ale and lager beers. At the end of the second class, each student will have six to eight capped and labeled bottles of Pale Ale to take home!
Location: Registrants wil be sent directions to the class location.
Price: $54 for Friend of Farm, $60 general public

More About Newton Community Farm
Located on the Angino farmstead, this nonprofit farm provides locally grown produce, as well as farming workshops and classes. The farm also hosts summer programs for elementary and middle school students, family farm programs, gardening programs and outreach programs for private and public schools. Networking and gardening events are also held at this location.
