Congressman Tim Ryan - A Mindful Nation
Newton North High School, 457 Walnut St, Newtonville, MA | Get Directions »
$10.00
Join us for a special evening with Ohio Congressman Tim
Ryan and Dr. Saki Santorelli, Executive Director of the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health
Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, as they discuss Ryan's new book A
Mindful Nation and the positive impact of mindfulness across a broad range of industries, including
education, politics, and the military.
Across America, people are feeling squeezed, exhausted, and running faster and faster while falling farther
behind. Despite this bleak outlook, there are strands of quiet hope and confidence. Amidst these tough
times, a quiet revolution has been gathering momentum. People all over the nation have been searching
for and finding ways to live more mindfully. And they are bringing the proven beneficial effects of the practices that cultivate mindfulness into schools, hospitals, doctor's
offices, the military, and other vital institutions in our country.
