DESCRIPTION:Come one! Come all! Creative Arts at Park (CAAP) will present
  a free Arts Festival for the whole family on Friday\, July 27 at the Pa
 rk School in Brookline. The day-long Festival will feature the work of m
 ore than 200 young people in the visual and performing arts from Greater
  Boston communities such as Needham\, Wellesley\, Newton\, West Roxbury\
 , Jamaica Plain and more. The festival is the culmination of CAAP&rsquo\
 ;s five-week multi-arts program.\nThe festival will open at 9 a.m. and f
 eature performances by students ages 7-15 in dance\, music\, drama\, pho
 tography\, gymnastics\, film and video\, writing\, karate and fencing as
  well as many exhibits of their work in a variety of visual arts.\nThe f
 estival will feature three family-friendly shows\, two of them musicals.
 \n&ldquo\;Norbert Beany is ACTION MAN!&rdquo\; features a rockin' score 
 by Boston's own Faith Soloway. Meet Norbert Beany\, insecure eighth grad
 er\, struggling to find his way at Larveigh Junior High. Poor Norbert: h
 is over active imagination conjures up &ldquo\;ACTION MAN!\,&rdquo\; the
  person he&rsquo\;s always wanted to be. But super heroes aren&rsquo\;t 
 exactly what other kids are in to (like\, duh!). Norbert meets some unex
 pected obstacles&mdash\;and makes some unexpected friends&mdash\;on his 
 way to both the prom and a happier self\, superhero or not.\nPacked with
  humor\, hilarity\, and heart\, the show will be presented on Thursday a
 nd Friday evenings\, July 26 and 27\, at 7:30 p.m. &ldquo\;Flying Colors
 &rdquo\; will play at 9:30 a.m. on Friday\, July 27. At midday on the 27
 th\, "The Doctor's Daughters\," an original oneact in the commedia delle
 'arte style\, will showcase the talents of Boston playwright and directo
 r Ezra Flam and a multi-talented cast.\nCelebrating its 31st summer\, Cr
 eative Arts at Park is a multi-arts program for young people. More than 
 50 professional artists teach students in more than 100 courses in the v
 isual and performing arts.
