DESCRIPTION:It's a little-known fact that every browser\, such as Safari\
, Internet Explorer (IE)\, and Firefox\, has the facility to play files
containing Midi (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) commands. The act
ual Midi language is somewhat arcane\, but in this course we'll learn ho
w to create text files that describe the music in a much simpler human-o
riented language\, called MITI\, for Midi Text Interface\, and to conver
t the MITI instructions to midi commands that can be played by any brows
er--Firefox\, Safari\, or IE\, or by Quicktime (Mac) or RealPlayer (Wind
ows). The converter is an application that you can download and run on a
Mac or PC. If you can guess what familiar nursery rhyme the MITI instru
 ctions "c c g g a a g f f e e d d c" describe\, and why it's not quite r
ight as it stands\, this course is for you.
