Rhapsody: Lunchtime Concert

Newton Senior Center, 345 Walnut St, Newtonville, MA | Get Directions »

Rhapsody will perform works by Albeniz, Bach, Chopin, Liszt, and Schubert. Rhapsody was formed in 2003 by a few visionary amateur pianists who wanted a regular venue in which to perform for each other, both to grow musically and to share their musical journey with others.  It has since grown to eighteen people from the Boston metropolitan area, and we have met continuously every month for nine years. They have performed publicly at the Brookline Library and at Bemis Hall in Lincoln.

Studio time is available for artists and musicians are welcome to sit in on swing band or chamber group sessions. A game room is also available, featuring pool, Mah-Jongg, poker, chess and bingo.

While many programs at the center are free, several ask for small donations from participants.
