The event promises to be a fun day for the whole family and features a beautiful scenic course
with a flat start and finish around Newton Centre. Runners are encouraged to come in costume,
bring the family and take advantage of the numerous activities for kids, including the Spooky
Sprint and Catz Kids Challenge. Immediately after the race, enjoy live music, free pizza and the
awards ceremony at Bill’s, where you’ll have a chance to meet Travis Roy. Long Sleeve Tech shirts for the first 500 runners to register.

More About Mason-Rice Elementary School
Lead by Principal Mark Springer, Mason-Rice Elementary School serves children in Newton Centre. The school was built more than five decades ago to combine the Mason School and the Rice School. Staff at Mason-Rice focus on working together with parents in order to teach students responsibility, creativity, respect as well as a love for learning.
Mason-Rice Elementary School is a half-mile walk from the Newton Center MBTA stop (green line, D branch). It is also a short walk to the #52 MBTA bus, which stops at the intersection of Centre Street and Beacon Street.
