A few things you need to know for Friday, Aug. 9, in Newton.
1. The Newton Free Library hosts a pre-walker lapsit storytime Friday at 11:15 a.m. Space is limited so stop by the Children's Desk starting at 10:45 a.m. to pick up a free ticket.
2. The Economic Development Advisory Committee is gathering at 8 a.m. Friday. We know it's early, but thought you should know.
3. Friday is Farmers' Market Day, Newton. Head to American Legion Post 440 from noon to 5 p.m. for fresh produce and your Friday Finds fix.
4. ICYMI. Yogurtland has arrived! The Newton Centre froyo shop opened Wednesday to a crowd lined up on the sidewalk.
