Author Talk with Hank Phillippi Ryan, Women's Business Panel, Senior Chorus

A few things you need to know for Wednesday, Oct. 2, in Newton.

1. Hear writer and local TV news journalist Hank Phillippi Ryan talk about her latest book, "The Wrong Girl" tonight at New England Book Fair at 7 p.m. See more information here.

2. The Women's Enterprise Initiative host a free panel discussion tonight at 6:45 p.m. at the Newton Free Library about business plan presentation with a discussion and audience feedback. Network before beginning at 6:15 p.m. Get more information here.

3. The Silvertones Senior Chorus rehearses today at 1 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. Join in. Anyone 50 or older who can carry a tune is invited. Find out more here

4. It's not too late to sign up for the first annual Tour de Newton. The 20 mile, 13 village ride on Sunday is a free fun ride. The ride will begin simultaneously in all 13 villages with each group riding the same 20 mile loop through all the other villages. See more here.
