Beatletracks, Hazardous Waste, Lunchtime Concert and More

A few things you need to know on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, in Newton.

1. The British Invasion is coming to West Newton... kind of. Beatletracks Band, a Beatles tribute band, will be in West Newton Square (near police headquarters) Wednesday for Dancing in the Parks. Come on by at 7 p.m.

2. It's Household Hazardous Waste drop-off day at the Rumford Avenue Recycling Depot. This is your last chance, 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., to drop off chemicals this month.

3. It's lunchtime community concert time at First Baptist Church in Newton Centre. Stop by to hear the free live music during the final concert of the season.

4. ICYMI. Wondering what's happening at the former Bank of America location in Newton Highlands? Here's the deal. 

5. Boston College will be featured in an episode of "Chronicle" Wednesday and again on Sunday. The episode "dishes" on the farm-to-table trend.
