Electronics Drop-off, Character Shabbat Tot, Kids Events at the Library
A few things you need to know for Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, in Newton.
1. Special Friday and Saturday Drop-Offs for Electronics will be held at the Recycling Depot on Rumford Avenue today and tomorrow from 8 a.m. to noon. There will be a $12 charge to recycle each TV or computer monitor, all other appliances and electronics accepted free-of-charge. Check or cash accepted, made payable to "CRT Recycling".
2. Chabad at Chestnut Hill invites all families to Character Tot Shabbat, featuring Motion & Prop Songs, Cartoon Character guests, Shabbat Food Crafts and Child-Friendly Dinner. The event begins at 4 p.m. Find out more here.
3. The Newton Free Library hosts Alphabet Soup Lapsit today at 3 p.m. Tge event includes songs, stories and movement for children under 2 with their caregivers. Space is limited. Please pick up a ticket at the Children's desk a half hour prior to entering the story time room. For more information, please call the Children's room at 617-796-1370.
4. Kids can see picture books on film at the Newton Free Library today at 10:30 a.m.
