Farmers Market, Author Talk, Flu Clinic

A few things you need to know for Tuesday, Oct. 29, in Newton.

1. Hit the Cold Springs Park Farmers Market today from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. to find some locally grown and locally made products.

2. A free flu shot clinic sponsored by Newton-Wellesley Hospital will be offered at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Tuesday, October 29 from 10am-1pm. The clinic is open to adults, age 18 or older. See more here.

3. Author Mitch Zuckoff will be at the Newton Free Library at 7 p.m. tonight to talk about his book "Frozen in Time." The book takes readers to Greenland’s Ice Cap - the scene of a 1942 U.S. cargo plane crash and the two failed attempts to rescue the survivors.

4. Grab your pumpkin at the United Parish of Auburndale today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. See more info here.
