French Horn Concert, Songs and Stories, Alderman at the Senior Center

A few things you need to know for Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, in Newton.

1. Come hear a concert by French hornist Kevin Owen, joined by pianist Asako Shibata presented by the All Newton Music School today at 11 a.m. Learn about the French horn during this interactive concert, which will feature works by Mozart, Bozza, Beethoven and more.

2. The Newton Free Library hosts songs, stories and movement for children under 2 with their caregivers. Alphabet Soup (Prewalkers and Walkers together) will be held today at 3 p.m. Space is limited.  Pick up a ticket at the Children's desk a half hour prior to entering the story time room. 3. Have coffee or tea and converse with Alderman Stephen Linsky on his monthly visit to the Newton Senior Center, today at 8:30 a.m.

4.  Kids can see picture books on film at the Newton Free Library today at 10:30 a.m.
