Impact of Technology on Children, Parenting Class, Volleyball in State Semis

A few things you need to know for Wednesday, Nov. 13, in Newton.

1. The Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton 
Street) in Newton will be hosting a lecture by Dr. Michael Rich, aka “The Mediatrician” on today at 7:30 p.m. for parents interested in the impact of technology on children and families. Find out more here.

2. The Parenting Journey Experience addresses the connections between how we were parented and how we parent our children. The group will be held in Newton for 6 weeks starting in January, and you can find out more at a information today at 9 a.m. Click here for more details.

3. Newton North's girls' volleyball team takes on Concord-Carlisle in the state semifinal tonight at 7 p.m. at Canton High School.

4. The Genealogy Club meets tonight at 7 p.m. at the Newton Free Library. Find out how to get information on records and approaches for starting or extending participants' genealogical research.
