Using Newton's Federal Funds, Film Course, Book Talks

A few things you need to know for Thursday, Nov. 21, in Newton.

1. Mayor Warren and the Newton Departments of Health & Human Services and Planning & Development invites Newton residents to participate in an event regarding the future use of federal funds, to further community development, including housing and human services for the City of Newton. 3. NewTV will put on a one-day course that teaches you proper composition when filming and details the various shots used during a shoot. Find out how to register here.

4. The  next selection of Historic Newton's book club is Liberty Exiles: American
Loyalists in the Revolutionary World
 by Maya Jasanoff, winner of the 2012 George Washington Book Prize. The club meets at the Jackson Homestead and Museum at 7:30 p.m. Find out more here.
