Preservations Awards, Newton Inspires, Farmers Market

A few things you need to know for Tuesday, Nov. 19, in Newton.

1. The sixth annual Newton Preservation Awards will be held tonight at 6:30 p.m. Help Historic Newton to celebrate individuals and projects that have chosen preservation as a sustainable reinvestment in the Newton community. Light refreshments to be served. Find out more here.

2. Some of Newton’s most talented, captivating, and forward-thinking individuals will converge on Newton North High School tonight at 7 p.m. for the third annual Newton Inspires—An Evening of Ideas and Community, sponsored by the Newton Schools Foundation (NSF). The event is free. See details here.

3. Issues of prayer, once again in the national spotlight due to quarterback Tim Tebow’s on-field demonstrative praying pose, will be discussed at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center, 333 Nahanton St. on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Click here for more info.

4. The Indoor Farmers Market will be held today at  Hyde Community Center, 90 Lincoln St., from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
