Residential Solar, Women's Literary Group, Whole Foods Helps Historic Newton

A few things you need to know for Wednesday, Oct. 9, in Newton.

1. Learn about solar panel installations, various financing options, 
subsidies and tax credits that are currently available to homeowners and small 
businesses. See more here.

2. Historic Newton participates for the first time in Whole Foods Market's 5% Days program, which donates 5% of a store's net sales for that day to a community-based organization. Both the Washington and Walnut Street locations will be donating. 

3. Robin Mayer Stein, poet and journalist will lead "Sequences: A Woman's Forum." Read, converse and write in response to poems, essays and personal stories. Meet interesting people while savoring literary treats today at 10 a.m. at the Newton Free Library. For info contact Robin at 617-965-2178.

4. Boston College Lynch School of Education Dean Maureen Kenny will give a presentation focused on helping our children, our grandchildren, and all youth thrive by helping them develop a sense of purpose in their lives. Find out more here.
