Revitalizing Walnut Street, Waban Area Council Meets, Hearing Screening

A few things you need to know for Thursday, Nov. 14, in Newton.

1. Talk about ways to revitalize Walnut Street in Newtonville tonight at 7 p.m. at the Day Middle School Auditorium. See more information here.

2. The newly elected Waban Area Council will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Waban Library Center. The meeting is open to the public.

3. The Newton Free Library has story time for a variety of ages today: 2-3 year olds at 9:45 a.m., under 2 at 10:45 a.m. and 3-5 at 3:30 p.m.

4. A representative from Mass Audiology will be at the Newton Senior Center to give free hearing screenings. If you already have hearing aids, they can clean them and replace the batteries. Appointments last for ten minutes. Call 617-796-1660 or email msass@newtonma.gov to register.
