Director of Beaver Summer Programs Presents Award to Eliza Dushku at Camp Champions Celebration
Nat Saltonstall, Director of Beaver Summer Programs in Chestnut Hill, attended New England’s 3rd Annual Camp Champions Celebration, which took place at Fenway Park last month. This event is held annually to raise funds to send at-risk youth to summer camps. Saltonstall awarded this year’s Camp Champion Award to Watertown native, actress, and camp activist, Eliza Dushku, for her extraordinary work developing a program for girls at Camp Hale, a program of the United South End Settlements, where girls and young woman can experience first-hand how life-changing camp can be. Eliza attended the event with her long-time boyfriend and former Celtics player, Rick Fox. This year’s fundraising will give a record number of underserved children the opportunity to attend ACA Accredited day and overnight camps in all six New England states through the campership program in the summer of 2014. In addition to his role as Direct of Beaver Summer Programs, Saltonstall is also the President of the ACA New England Board of Directors.
