Eunice Feller, Chef and Owner of Bread & Chocolate to Compete in Cookie Creations

Eunice Feller, chef, owner of Bread & Chocolate, will compete in Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts’ Cookie Creations on Thursday, February 6 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge. Feller will compete against 13 top local chefs to create a unique dessert or appetizer using Girl Scout cookies as an ingredient.

Feller and her bakery cafe shot into the spotlight after she appeared on the Food Network show Throwdown, where she competed against Bobby Flay to make the best Boston Cream Pie. While she may have lost on the show, her unique take on the traditional pie is famous throughout the country.

After working for 20 years at The Art Store, rising all the way to vice president of marketing, Feller decided to fulfill her dream of attending culinary school when the company was sold. She and her husband opened their first location in September 2006, shortly after she graduated from The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts. Upon graduation Feller was presented with the Young Professional Award from the L’Académie Brillat-Savarin for her dedication to the culinary arts and her drive to succeed. She and her husband now own two cafes in Newtonville and Newton Highlands.
