Green Decade's Student EnviroArt Contest: 2014 GREEN OLYMPICS!

Help your school win a gold medal with your poster or video of green events such as: Skiing to school - Bottle Bobsledding - Re-using School T-shirts for Team Uniforms - Skating a Recycled Obstacle Course - Your Own Ideas! Open to all students living or attending school in Newton, Grades 1-5.

  * Enter posters (12"x18") or videos (3-minute max) as an individual or teams of 2 students - recycled materials encouraged!

  * Artwork due by Friday, February 28, 2014.

  * Submit artwork in special collection boxes at Newton elementary schools, Mayor's Office at City Hall, New Art Center (Newtonville) or Green Planet Kids (Newton Highlands).

  *  Judging will be by grade level plus an after-school category.

  *  Awards ceremony and art exhibit will be Tuesday, April 1 at Newton City Hall.  Green Medalists (1st place) for each level will receive an Energy Smart Newton T-shirt and a $10 gift certificate from Green Planet Kids. All student artists will receive a certificate of participation and be entered into a raffle for a T-shirt and gift certificate.
