5 Things You Need to Know: July 14

Crystal Lake walk, Israeli Festival, make-at-home fermented tea.

1. There's another Historic Newton Walk Sunday, this one around Crystal Lake. The free walk begins at 2 p.m. and participants are invited to meet in the grassy lot beside the Crystal Lake bathhouse parking lot on Rogers Street.

2. Well Within – Massage and Integrated Health is offering a "Learn to Make Kombucha at Home" course Sunday from 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Washington Street location. The cost of the workshop is $20, and you can find out more here.

3. The Israeli Festival is stopping in Newton Centre Sunday. Gitit Shoval, a singing sensation, will perform and vendors, food and crafts will be on display. The concert is free at 5:30 p.m. on the Newton Centre Green.

4. The Newton Free Library is closed on Sundays throughout July and August.

5. Newton will take on Tyngsboro at Tyngsboro Elementary Sunday at 2 p.m.
