iPad fundamentals and apps for professionals, summer hazardous waste dropoff day and more.

1. The Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce is hosting a "There's an App for That" seminar Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Come learn what apps for your iPhone, iPad or other mobile device could be making your professional life easier. Register here.

2. Speaking of iPads, for those that are just trying to navigate your iPad, the Newton Free Library is offering a workshop Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in "iPad Fundamentals." Participants must bring their own iPad.

3. The Rumford Avenue Recycling Depot is open Wednesday for a summer Household Hazardous Waste drop-off. The center is closed throughout the rest of July.
