Changes are Coming to Newton Patch...

A new editor steps into the Newton Patch editor role.

When I took over Newton Patch in May, I knew I was taking over a vibrant site with committed and passionate readers.

I knew it would be a big job with a lot of responsibility and much opportunity to meet new people and learn even more about the city I call home.

What I didn't know is that my time would be so short. Beginning Monday, Aug. 26, I'm stepping away from the Local Editor responsibilities at Newton Patch to assume the role of Community Editor. Charlie Breitrose has stepped in as the new editor of Newton Patch. (Look for his introduction article soon).

You've already seen Charlie's byline on plenty of articles, and I'm not going far. In fact, if you post events, announcements or blog on Newton Patch, I'll be your primary contact. I just won't be the everyday contact for news tips and information.

Thank you for your warm welcome when I came to Newton just a couple of months ago, and for the opportunities you presented in the time I was here (serving at the Feast at the Falls was an awesome experience I won't soon forget).

I'm not moving, I'm not changing my cell number or email address and I do still like to hang out in Newton. Please feel free to say hello from time to time.
