  • Choral Prelude at 10 p.m.
  • Festal Eucharist at 10:30 p.m.

Christmas Day:

  • Holy Eucharist service at 10 a.m.

 

ELIOT CHURCH OF NEWTON, 474 Centre St., Newton Corner

  • Christmas Eve Worship at 5 p.m. This shorter, intergenerational service will include traditional carols, stories, and scripture, designed for those whom find it easier to worship earlier on Christmas Eve. Everyone is welcome, including families with small children. 
  • Christmas Eve Worship at 7:30 p.m. This will be an intergenerational worship of candlelight and carols.

 

EPISCOPAL PARISH OF SAINT PAUL, 1135 Walnut St., Newton Highlands

Christmas Eve:

  • Caroling at 4:30 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve Family Pageant with Holy Eucharist and joyful noise at 5 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve candlelight caroling at 9:30 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve Holy Eucharist and candlelight service with the choir at 10 p.m.

Christmas Day:

  • Christmas Morning Prayer (one service only) at 10:30 a.m.

Christmas Eve:

  • Christmas Carol Sing-along at 3:30 p.m.

  • Christmas Day worship service at 10:30 a.m. No Sunday School.

Christmas Eve:

  • Child-friendly service with carols and stories at 4 p.m.
  • Candlelight service and midnight chimes beginning at 11 p.m.

Christmas Day:

  • Worship and carols at 10:30 a.m.  No 9:30 a.m. classes.

Christmas Eve:

Christmas Day:

  • Christmas Day sermon at 9:30 a.m. Although there is no formal Christmas Sunday, Rev. Erin Splaine will be there with coffee and a few holiday goodies. If you or anyone you know is in need of some company Christmas morning, please stop by.

LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE NEWTONS, 1310 Centre St., Newton Centre

  • Christmas Eve service at 7:30 p.m.
  • Christmas Day service at 10 a.m.

 

NEWTON HIGHLANDS CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, 54 Lincoln St. Newton Highlands

Christmas Eve:

  • Christmas Eve Worship at 4:30 p.m. with candlelight and carols, Scriptures and stories. This worship service is especially inclusive for children and is a bit shorter than the 7:30 service.
  • Christmas Eve Worship at 7:30 p.m. A festival of good news and sacred song led by the Senior Pastor, senior choir, organist and string quartet with Silent Night by candlelight and an O Holy Night solo.

Christmas Day:

  • Christmas Day Worship at 10 a.m.  There will be no church school and an open house fellowship nearby after the worship.

 

NEWTON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 75 Vernon St., Newton Corner

Christmas Eve:

  • Family Service with a live Nativity at 5:30 p.m.
  • Candlelight service of carols and lessons at 7:30 p.m.

Christmas Day:

  • Worship at 10:15 a.m.
  • Children’s Sunday School and adult classes at 9 a.m.

 

ST. MARY’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 258 Concord St., Newton Lower Falls

Christmas Eve:

  • Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m.
  • Music Prelude at 9:45 p.m. followed by a Christmas Eve service at 10 p.m.

Christmas Day:

  • Christmas morning service at 10 a.m. No Sunday School. 
  • Christmas Day service, Christ the King, at 4:30 p.m. followed by refreshments in Parish Hall.

 

THE SECOND CHURCH IN NEWTON, UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 60 Highland St., West Newton 

Christmas Eve:

  • Christmas Eve Family Service with Christmas Pageant at 5 p.m.  The congregation’s youth will present a worship service of music and drama.
  • Candlelight service of lessons and carols at 10 p.m. The Chancel Choir will provide seasonal anthems and lead the congregation in singing traditional carols. A reception will follow at 11 p.m. in Fuller Chapel. 

Christmas Day:

  • Christmas Sunday Worship at 10 a.m. Celebrate Christmas morning with an intergenerational worship service and a Christmas story.

 

TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 11 Homer St., Newton Centre

  • Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. followed by an after-mass gathering at 8 p.m.
  • Christmas Day Eucharist at 10 a.m. No Sunday School or child care. 

 

UNITED PARISH OF AUBURNDALE, 64 Hancock St., Auburndale

Christmas Eve:

  • Christmas Eve Family Worship at 5 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion at 7:30 p.m.

Christmas Day:

  • Worship service at 10 a.m. followed by fellowship time.
